E-COSMOS Micro OTG for Tablets and Android Mobiles (Mix Colors)

Now You Can Use Your Tablet or Android Mobile as a USB Device

Transferring data between your Android phone and your computer has never been easier! With the introduction of the Micro-USB OTG cable, your Android phone can act as a USB device - allowing you to connect it directly to your PC or Mac computer and transfer files quickly and easily! This opens up tons of possibilities such as transferring large music libraries, massive photo galleries, or even having two or more phones share data at the same time. All you need is the right Micro-USB OTG cable!

What is an OTG cable?

An OTG cable, otherwise known as an On-The-Go cable, is a short device that enables you to connect your tablet or smartphone to USB devices. By connecting these two devices you can use your phone's operating system (for instance on an Android phone) to transfer files and store them on your device. This is particularly useful if you have file folders and documents in both your phone and tablet that need transferring from one to another. Typically, OTG cables cost less than $10 with some sites selling them for less than $5.00, especially when bought in bulk quantity of 5 or more units.

How it works on Android Phones

When you connect your phone to your computer via an OTG cable, you will be prompted on your screen to pick between Charge only and Transfer files. If you select transfer files, you will be able to browse through folders in your phone just like any other external storage. This is also very useful for transferring large files from your computer to your phone with ease. It saves a lot of time and hassle if you use it with cloud storage. With Transfer Files enabled, both mass storage and MTP mode are available so that it can work on computers that are not running Windows. Both ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) are fully supported by Micro OTG standard.

How it works on Windows PCs

Plugging in an Android phone to a Windows PC is just like plugging in a thumb drive. Simply find your device in My Computer, right-click it and choose Format and you're good to go. The process is similar on Macs, but instead of formatting your device you simply choose where you want to save your files and click Mount. That's all there is to it, really—your phone will be ready for file transfer from any computer with a USB port.
